The Department of Economics of the University of Bologna will host the second edition of this Workshop.

Last year we held the First International Workshop on The Economics of Climate Change and Sustainability in the Rimini Campus of the University of Bologna.

The Workshop aims at bringing together theoretical and applied researchers to discuss the ongoing advanced research on the economics of climate change and sustainability. Topics include, but are not limited to: Adaptation and mitigation; Climate change and natural environment; Sustainable development; Climate change and technology; Climate finance; Environmental macroeconomics; Green initiatives and policies.

The following eminent scholars have already confirmed their participation: Lucas Bretschger (ETH Zurich), Christian Gollier (TSE, Toulouse), Larry Karp (University of California, Berkeley), Phoebe Koundouri (AUEB, Athens), Michael Rauscher (University of Rostock), Anastasios Xepapadeas (AUEB, Athens and UNIBO, Bologna).

We invite researchers in this area to submit their papers for presentation and particularly encourage the attendance of doctoral students, young researchers and professionals who are willing to advance their knowledge on global climate change research.
