How to reach the Department of Mathematics from the train station.

• On foot: exit the station into Piazzale delle Medaglie d'Oro, turn left onto Viale Pietramellara, Follow the tree-lined street (which at a certain point changes name to Viale Masini and then to Viale Berti Pichat) until you reach Porta San Donato (the second city gate you will encounter along the way). Then turn right into the square: the tall building you see on your left as you cross the square is the department.Walking time approximately 15-20 minutes.
• By bus: exit the station into Piazzale delle Medaglie d'Oro, cross the square and the road to reach the bus stop "Stazione Centrale". Take bus number 36 and get off at the "Porta San Donato" stop. Alternatively:  exit the station into via Matteotti, turn right till the end on the street and then lleft the bus stop "Matteotti Alta Velocità". Take bus number 37 and get off at the "Porta San Donato" stop.  The department is the tall building  on your  left  as you cross the square . It is possible to pay for the ticket on the bus using a credit card. Time needed 10-15 approximately  minutes.
