Alma Mater University Chess Tournament

Many of the world's oldest and most prestigious universities took part to the first inter-university chess challenge organized by the Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna.

The Challenge

June 14-16: 3-day tournament, 5 games, hosting 18 teams from some of the top universities around the world.

The Venue

The games were held in our historical Biblioteca Universitaria di Bologna – BUB, one of the oldest Italian libraries: this iconic setting contributed to the tournament's ambiance and provided participants with an unforgettable experience.
