New! The AI Analysis Room

What is the Analysis Room?

The analysis room, set up near the playing hall but acoustically isolated, is used by players to review their recently concluded games with teammates, evaluating possible alternative moves.

For the 2025 edition, the analysis room will feature two workstations equipped with PCs, allowing players to analyze their games with the help of a chess engine integrated with a bot capable of explaining moves in a way understandable to humans.

At the same time, on the tournament’s website, the main match games will be analyzed live by the same engine.

Goals

  • Enhancing post-game reflection and learning for players
  • Increasing accessibility of chess analysis for wider audiences
  • Developing a novel AI-human hybrid approach to chess commentary and education
  • Fostering engagement of chess enthusiasts through interactive streaming and blogging

This project aims to a broader public engagement by leveraging AI and digital media. By making chess analysis accessible in an engaging format, we aim to enhance the Alma Mater University Chess Tournament experience and contribute to the growing synergy between Artificial Intelligence and digital media.
